We would love to have you visit with us at Berean. Here is what you can expect when you visit on a Sunday morning...
Parking
You will want to park in the main parking lot next to the the main building on the lower campus.
The building at the top of the hill is the middle and high school building of
Berean Christian School. A few of our Sunday school classes are held there, but most are in the main building, as is the auditorium. You will be greeted at the door and given a copy of the weekly church bulletin. Once you enter the building, the auditorium is to your left.
Dress
For the most part dress is office casual, but it ranges from those who prefer dresses and suits to those who wear jeans and a t-shirt.
Child Care
A nursery is available for babies and toddlers up to age 3. The nursery is located down the hallway to your right as you enter the building. It's the first door on the left. Our nursery volunteers will ask you a few questions about your child(ren) and let you know about the drop-off and pick-up safety procedures.
The Worship Service
We have two worship services: one at 9:00 AM and a second service at 10:30 AM.
We normally begin the morning worship service with a couple songs. Our worship style is blended, using hymns as well as contemporary praise songs. We use piano, keyboard, guitars, drums, strings, and occasionally brass.
When we welcome our visitors, you will be asked to remain seated while the members and regular attenders stand. This is so we can recognize you're a visitor and give you some information about the church along with a visitor card which you can fill out and place in one of the offering boxes in the back of the auditorium. If that is inconvenient, feel free to leave it in your seat.
The Lord's Supper (communion) is served each Sunday morning, and all believers are welcome to participate. We normally hold the cracker and juice until all have been served and then take together as a congregation.
Children's Church
Children 3 years old through 5th grade are dismissed prior to the sermon (approximately 9:45 a.m.) for Children's Church. Feel free to keep your child(ren) in church with you if you desire. If you would like to take your child(ren) to Children's Church, please exit the auditorium and give one of the children's workers your information as the children line up in the fellowship hall. After Children's Church, the children are taken to their Sunday school classes.
Sunday School
We offer adult Sunday school classes at 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM. Currently, children's Sunday school is only offered at 10:30 AM. You will find a list of classes and locations on the information pamphlet you will be given.
You can also find information about these classes on our website. Most of the adult classes are located on the main floor. The children's classes are located on the lower level. Our second service ends at 11:45 a.m.
You will need to pick up your child(ren) at their Sunday school classroom or in the nursery before noon.
